Accessibility

This website should work well for everyone. Here is what I do for that, what is still missing and how to report a barrier to me.

Legal status

The German Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG) has applied since 28 June 2025. It does not apply to micro-enterprises that offer services (section 3 (3) BFSG). I am such a micro-enterprise. I still build this site so that as many people as possible can use it.

What I do

  • The site has a skip link to the content and a clearly visible focus, so you can use it with a keyboard.
  • Images with content have alt text. Pure decoration is hidden from screen readers.
  • The site comes in light and dark. You choose.
  • Type and controls are big enough: no text below 13 pixels, buttons and links with a tap area of at least 44 pixels.
  • If your device asks for less motion, I switch off the loading screen and the animations.
  • Pages have a clear structure with headings and breadcrumbs. The language of every page is set in the code, and the German legal texts are marked as German in the other languages too.
  • Every field in the contact form has a visible label. Error messages appear as text, not only as a colour.

What is still missing

No external body has audited the site for accessibility. I tested it with audit tools and by hand, but not with every screen reader and assistive device. The legal texts exist in German only.
